Return Policy: All sales are final. However, if a chair is damaged during shipping, please contact us within 30 days to exchange it for replacement.
As is statement: Please note that each handcrafted chair is unique in its own way. Wood grain, knots and color will be as varied and diverse as Nature ordains. Buyers should be aware that great love and care is put into building each chair and that purchase means accepting the chair as is.
Cancellation Policy: Steam sessions at Yoyoni Spa can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance with no consequences and if you have paid in advance, a full refund will be issued. If the cancellation is within 24 hours before your appointment, you may reschedule your appointment. No refunds will be issued.
Preparation and Food Safety Policy: Use only glass, ceramic or stainless steel pots or bowls for steaming. Bring 1 tea bag or 1/4 cup of herbs to boil in 1 quart of water. Allow to continue boiling for 3-5 minutes. If you are using a pot provided in a Yoyoni steam kit, you can boil the herbs in this pot and simply remove the lid and adjust the temperature to steam.
If you are boiling herbs in a pot on the stove, lay a towel on the floor to protect flooring from heat damage. If you are steaming without a chair, wrap an additional towel around the pot to protect your legs from accidentally touching the heated metal of the pot. Put your feet on either side of the pot, then lower yourself gently to your knees and lean forward to rest your arms and head on the floor, on the side of your bed, or on the edge of a couch. If you like, you can cover yourself in a blanket or sheet to allow the steam to envelop you.
If you are steaming with a chair, set the pot under the chair and remove the lid. If you cannot feel the steam at all, or if it is not strong enough, boost the pot by putting books or another upside-down pot underneath it. Always test the temperature of the steam with the underside of your wrist before sitting down to steam.
Some herb providers package their herbs so that the same sachet can be used up to 3 times. If you intend to reuse your herbs, remove them from the pot/bowl before you sit. Refrigerate the herbs between uses. Yoyoni herbs are not packaged to be used more than once.
Safety Policy: Safe steams are the best steams! Please follow these safety tips for every steam session:
When NOT to Steam:
When you are currently pregnant or think you may be pregnant except when a trained and certified practitioner is administering steams for labor delivery
When you are actively trying to conceive and have already ovulated
When you are menstruating (please note that if blood is brown with no red at all, you are safe to steam)
When you have spotting that is fresh red blood
When you have 2 complete menstrual cycles in a 30 day period
When you have an infection with a burning itch
*If your birth control methods include an arm patch (such as Nexplanon) or a tubal laproscopy (using a laser through your belly button), please be aware that steaming will cause both of these methods to fail and you could possibly get pregnant. If your birth control method includes the nuva ring, please remove it before steaming.
When to ONLY steam for 10 minutes:
If you have an IUD
If your cycles are 27 days or shorter
If you are under the age of 13
If you have an active herpes outbreak
If you have experienced hot flashes or night sweats in the past month
If you have an active yeast or bv infection or if you are prone to bv or yeast infections
If you use the nuva ring for birth control
If it is your first time steaming
Make sure to test the steam BEFORE you sit to avoid burning yourself. If the steam gets too hot while you are sitting, hop up and adjust the heat (turn down or unplug your heating element or wait a few minutes for the steam to cool).
